Jackson's Lane, Hazel Grove

1970:c1970s
Archives
Hazel Grove Secondary School for Boys (or "Jacko's Jailhouse" as we school kids affectionately called it!) on Jackson's Lane. The school dates back to the 1950s, but became segregated in the late 1960's as a "Boys" school (seen here) with a separate school for girls built next to it (as seen in the background). Both schools amalgamated late 1990s to form Hazel Grove Comprehensive School (both sexes), and is now known as "Hazel Grove High School".
