Norbury National School, at the end of School Street, Hazel Grove, was built on ground beside Norbury (St. Thomas's) Parish Church. The site and the materials from the demolished Bullock Smithy Chapel were donated by Thomas Legh of Lyme. The school closed in the late 1980s and is now a Jehovah's Witness Hall. The old classrooms can still be seen from the back.
