Archives
Queen Street West viewed from Viaduct Street. The street on the right is that part of Wood Street later renamed Daw Bank, leading to King Street West, and the houses on the left are in Brook Street West. The building work in the foreground is in preparation for the erection of the King George VI Club and the property in the centre was later cleared to make way for the Stockport Corporation Transport Department's head office and depot.
