Reddish Road

1901:1901
Archives
From an unknown source, the description reads: Before a recent Borough Council meeting there was a request that trees in Reddish-road should be trimmed so that double-deck buses might be used on that route. How many of my readers remember Reddish-road in the sylvan dressing depicted above? The photograph was taken by Mr. H. Hardy, of Horace-grove, Stockport, in 1901, with the camera facing towards North Reddish from Bowlas-lane (now Broadstone Hall-road) opposite St. Mary's Rectory. Here's another example of the changing scenes of Stockport. What of 2001?
