Norbury (St Thomas's) Parish Church

1900:c.1900
Archives
Norbury Parish Church (or St. Thomas's to give its proper name) was built to replace the derelict Norbury Chapel (off Mill Lane) on land given by Thomas Legh of Lyme and was financed by £2000 from the Commissioners for Building New Churches and donations from Peter Legh of Booths, the Vernons of Poynton and other local people. It was consecrated in 1834. Photo roughly taken around 1900 - maybe later
