The view south-south-east from the top of Dale House, Tiviot Dale, Stockport. At bottom right the River Mersey flows under Lancashire Bridge, over which Warren Street runs across the centre. The large building on Warren Street is the court house, with the Warren Bulkeley Hotel to its right. Far left is the power station and its chimney and St Mary's C of E church is in the centre. Further right is the glass-coverd indoor market. The car parks are the future sites of the Asda (upper) and Sainsbury's (lower) superstores.
