Cale Green Park c1904. "Opened on Monday July 28th 1902 by Mr Henry Bell, JP, who presented the land to the town. He gave it on the provision that it should be laid out as a public recreation ground. Stockport Cricket Club, whose ground adjoined the park, provided £500 for the fencing. The park cost £5,000 to lay out." Stockport Advertiser 16th July 1964
