Co-op Stores - Hazel Grove

1910:c.1910
Archives
The main branch of the Co-operative Society store opened in 1860 on London Road. Such was the demand that other stores were opened - one in 1906 on the corner of Vernon Street (now Top Ten Tyres), and the other on Commercial Road (1910) where Hazel Grove DIY shop is now today. In 1877 the Co-op built eighty-eight cottages in three roads off Commercial Road, aptly named "Hazel", "Grove", and "Co-operative" Streets.
