Looking north at the junction with Manchester Road. The white building at far right is the old Toll Bar house, with a tram stop sign outside. Belisha beacons mark a pedestrian crossing marked on the road only by studs, no zebra crossing markings. The cross on the building at the left marks St Thomas's Church, Heaton Norris. In front is the Chapel House Hotel (Chesters Ales) - last open as O'Connors in 2009.
