The annual Bullock Smithy Wakes were originally held on Brewer's Green and later on Back o'th Barn field at Old Fold Farm (off Peter Street), but here they are on land behind the Albion Mill. The mill was extended sometime after 1907 and a crane can be seen in the back of the picture. Here the crowd revel around the Hazel Grove Brass Band.
