Looking towards the Market Superintendent's office, this picture has the Produce Hall (large elaborate pillared facade) on the left and the glass Market Hall on the right. At the back of the picture are factory chimneys. A horse and cart is in the foreground to the right and a flowerstall on the left. The pair of struts protruding from the wall are advertising Bennets Opticians, (although that is indistinct.) The fashions of the day can be seen in the couple on the right.
