Market Place, View from top of Vernon Street

This is an almost identical view to acc. no 25236 which shows the beginning of the development in 1985. In this 1987 shot are the completed Vernon Street Development shops, with the canopy on the right. It shows too the recent pedestrianisation with the new faux Victorian lights. The distinctive building in the centre used to be the Market Superintendent's office and the market stalls are in Castle Yard to the left.
