The Red Lion pub in its "final years of life" c.1978. The pub as seen here had been renamed the "Bees Knees" to try and attract the younger generation, but to no avail, and it was finally demolished in 1990. The whole site is now a golf shop and car wash. The Esso Station was knocked down early 1990's just after the Red Lion was demolished
