This simple introduction to art combines reproductions of an imaginative selection of artworks by artists ranging from Henri Rousseau and Georges Seurat to L.S. Lowry and Frida Kahlo. With text supported by cartoon-style illustrations, 'Who's in the Picture?' invites young children to search for particular people or animals or other detail in the paintings displayed. Further questions encourage children to examine each artwork and to explain, very simply, what is happening in the pictures.
