All six episodes from the ITV series set in a run-down coastal resort in Essex starring Brenda Blethyn as café owner Kate who runs a traditional greasy spoon business. When African asylum seeker Koji (Jimmy Akingbola) becomes a regular, Kate strikes up a good rapport with him and when she learns that he is a qualified doctor but cannot find work he soon finds himself running a surgery from Kate's café.
