Titlepage in red and black.Provenance: contains handwritten notes giving birth and death dates of various members of the Astley family. Also bound with a farewell letter to the biible written by Margaret "Ann Astley" Potts, 1951. The christening of Wagstaffe Astley (1769-1832), is recorded in the register for High Street Presbyterian, Stockport. His death is recorded in the Bishop's transcripts for St. Mary's, Stockport. His residence was Heaton Norris and he was buried at St. Peter's.
