A selection of drawings by architectural students engaged in offices in Manchester submitted to the Manchester Society of Architects in 1877 for the competition for sketches and measured drawings of buildings of architectural interest. The drawings were publicly exhibited and a selection made for publication by Mr. Thomas Worthington, the President of the Society. The historical notes were added by Mr. Charles W. Sutton of the Manchester Reference Library.The [56] leaves of plates were photolithographed by the proprietors of the British Architect, Manchester.
