David Tennant stars in this three-part BBC drama as a cabinet minister who finds it hard to adjust when his wife's career takes off and leaves his own in the shade. Regarded as a future high-flyer, Aiden Hoynes (Tennant) seems to have it all going for him. Married to Junior Minister Freya (Emily Watson), and with a young son, Noah (Oscar Kennedy), he appears destined for great things. But when his son is diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, Aiden, rather than stepping up to the plate, decides to take refuge in the power games emanating from the corridors of Westminster. With his wife sacrificing her political career to tend to her son's needs, Aiden's world is rocked when he discovers that, in spite of everything, Freya's star has suddenly begun to burn brighter than his own.
