This collection of sound recordings represents a small proportion of the Stockport Sound Archive, a collection of mainly oral history interviews with local people from the 1970s to 1990s. It also includes some lectures on local history and recordings of local history discussion groups in the 1960s and 70s by local historians such as Col. John Christie-Miller and Herbert Morton.
