Adlington Square, between Merseyway and Chestergate. In the distance Marks and Spencer and F W Woolworth can be seen on Merseyway. The shop in the square is J Kelsall Ltd (Carpets) with signs in the window "Removal Sale" before the buildings were demolished to make way for the Merseyway shopping centre. This square was the first home (1607) of Stockport Grammar School.
