Francis George Chambers was born in 1879, lived at Woodbine Crescent, Hillgate and then on Bramhall Moor Lane (at Haven House). On the back of the photo is a resume of his activities. From 1902-1925 Chambers worked in Brazil, Bolivia for the Madeira-Mamore Railway Co. Later he worked for the Amazon Navigation Co. In 1918 he moved to Rio to write up the history of the Amazon Navigation Co. More details are on the back of the photograph.
