Postcard with the greetings "Arrived home safely about 9.30 pm. Hope you had an enjoyable day at Southport. Again thanking you for past favours and kindnesses I remain your affectionate brother Alexander". The card shows the square tower with entrance in front of the tower and a single storey on each side, each with flat crenalleted roof. The wide path to the church has shrubs on the righthand side. The words "Built between 1510 and 1524 by Sir Piers Leigh of Lyme" are handwritten on the card.
