Material relating to Andrew Bennett's support Shane O'Doherty, a former IRA member imprisoned in England, in his campaigns for fair treatment and to be moved to a prison in Northern Ireland. Includes newspaper articles, letters and a bound booklet. Shane O'Doherty joined the IRA after the events of Bloody Sunday at the age of 17. He made and sent around 30 letter bombs to British citizens. He was arrested in 1974 amid a truce, prosecuted in Belfast and London, and sentenced to life imprisonment.
