Portwood Cut

A view of Portwood Cut (looking west), showing the Meadow Mill and to the right the Beehive Mill. To the left is the football pitch which was used by local pub football teams for Sunday morning games. In the background is Lancashire Hill with its twin tower blocks under construction, (Hanover and Pendlebury). Despite the pollution and tipping, grasses, weeds and even a few wild flowers did manage to bloom.
