Nursery, Stockport Workhouse (St Thomas's Hospital)

There are few toys in this nursery for the children to play with - however there is space if they need to run about. This is the last in a series of large photographs taken in 1895 of Stockport Workhouse (St Thomas's Hospital). Accession nos are from 11347 -11357 inclusive. It is suspected that they were all taken by the same photographic company - London & County Photographic Co., Bromley, Kent. They are high quality photographs for the time and clearly show the interior of the Workhouse.
