Archives
In 1883 this new Wesleyan Methodist Church was built on the corner of Wesley and Chapel Streets at a cost of £6000, replacing the old Bullock Smithy Chapel at the end of Chapel Street. A new Sunday School was built in 1914 within a few yards of the church. This church was demolished in 1972 when the present church was built.
