Bredbury Steelworks: last bar being shot blasted.

The black bar is revolved by the offset diablo rollers. It traverses through the machine where four wheels rotating at extremely high speeds spray fine steel shot as the bar passes, cleaning off the black shale. The two characters contemplating the future are, on the left Joe Byrun; responsible for loading the machine and Vincent Smith. The photographer was the operator of this machine for 10 years but couldn't be on the photo as he took it.
