Opening in 1956 of the Full Gospel Tabernacle on London Road (next to the George and Dragon - now "The Phoenix)on the site of the Christian Bethel Church. The building was later demolished in 1979 to make way for New Moor Lane junction, with a new church built further up the road next to the Co-op Superstore.
