View from the top of Dale House

The view north-east from the top of Dale House, Tiviot Dale, Stockport. On the left is the motorway M63 under construction, with, to its left, the railway line and, to its right, the River Goyt flowing under Portwood Bridge to meet the River Tame to become the River Mersey. Just right of centre is Faulder's Mill and the gas works to its right. The small building on the right is the King's Arms public house, near the intersection of Corporation Street, upper right, and Warren Street, lower right. The car park is the future site of Sainsbury's superstore.
