Re-opening of Market Hall

1985:Sept 1985
Archives
Several stalls can be seen in this shot from Stockport Photographic Society. To the left is a stall selling lace items, from tablecloths to nighties. In front of this are two ladies in historical costume, one wearing a straw boater. Behind this lady is a clothing stall and beyond that, rolls of material are displayed standing in boxes to keep the ends clean. Bunting can be seen hanging from the roof and two shoppers (one seen in part) have their backs to the camera.
