This is a postcard version of 28249 (which is dated circa 1905) but this version includes Stockport's crest to the right hand side. The crest includes an image of Britannia to the right of a shield, which has a crown above it. A lion lies behind and to the left of the shield and a ribbon beneath all which reads " Corporate Reform Jany 1836" Below is written "STOCKPORT." The postcard sized photo is of the Churchgate area, showing market stalls. In the centre is a lady in a long black Edwardian dress and a straw boater.
