The title below this grainy photo is "Friday Morning in Stockport Market." The picture is looking along the front of the Produce Hall towards the (latterly) Market Superintendent's Office. It is clearly a busy day, as the market is busy. It is just possible to distinguish men from women and to see a toddler being pushed along in a trolley (nowadays "buggy"), but few other details are apparent.
