Once a weaver's cottage, a thatched cottage in Benja Fold. It is thought that the cottages in Benja Fold date back to the 16th century, 1598 being the earliest reference. In the 1950s the three cottages were all condemned, but were saved unlike other old properties in Bramhall that were demolished for development. The cottage shown was the home of the Leah family for 400yrs, handed down from father to son. The last Leah was Jack who lived with his sister Molly.
